During the Civil War, things were quite bad in Missouri, as military
and raiders from both sides operated in the state. At about this
time, some members of the Morgan family moved on to other locations.
These include California, Oregon, Washington, and Texas. Several
of the Morgans moved to Ellis County, Texas.
